Case Study 3 - Affinato Lunetta

Client needs a multilingual responsive website to improve website traffic and online purchase

  • Project Duration: September 2020 - July 2021

  • My Role: UX & UI Designer

  • Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Wix

  • Responsibilities: Apply UX technique like Crazy Eight to improve website, visually as well as functionalities

  • The Problem: Lack of thoughts input to the website leading hight bounce rate. Not clearly labeled navigation with long drop down menu. English labeled product only showing Chinese name on product page makes it almost impossible for user to find the website

  • The Goal: To improve website traffic and online purchase through UX and UI of the website

Potential Solutions

  1. Reduce dropdown menu and simplify navigation
  2. Rearrange navigation to more user friendly order
  3. English product name has to show on its product page too
  4. Make site multilingual
  5. Create winery info page to increase chances for website traffic
  6. Add promotional banners
  7. Add blog or news page. To keep customer up-to-date on the industry news
  8. Make social media icons more obvious and easy to find

TakeAways & Going Forward

What I Learned

Understand a bad UX design can cause a major impact on the website traffic and turns user away.

What I Can Do Better

I can look into a deeper study on the average time user spent on each page and have a better picture on the overall impact.

Going forward

I would like to implement more sections like wine making tour or tasting session as topic like this can also drive good traffic.
